Taking Your Hair Sample For Testing
These steps must be followed correctly to ensure the highest results accuracy rate.

At the nape of the neck, cut 10 strands of hair as close to the root as possible. Do not pull out the hair or supply the follicle.

You may supply body or facial hair where there is no hair on the head.

The length of each hair strand must be 0.5 inches. Please cut to size.

Place the hair sample in a small sealable plastic bag. Plastic is only accepted.

Hair should be clean and free from hairspray, gel, or metallic products.

Shampoo and conditioner are fine for cleaning the hair.

If hair strands are shorter than 0.5 inches, supply 20 - 25 strands.
- Bleach, color, or treatment will not affect the validity.
Sending in multiple samples? Complete this step for each person being tested using separate sealable plastic bags.

- If you do have access to a printer, write down the information required on the submission form on a separate piece of paper.
- Do NOT place your submission form inside your plastic bag containing your hair sample.

If you purchased an upgrade add-on test WITH your primary sensitivity test: You do not need to send in an additional sample. Complete the information under "Upgrades" on the submission form.
If you purchased an upgrade add on test WITHOUT your primary sensitivity test: You will need to send in another sample and follow the instructions on this page.
Packing Your Contents
1) Plastic sealable bag containing your hair sample ✔️
2) Completed submission form ✔️
- Place 2 contents inside an envelope. The submission form should not be placed inside your sample's plastic bag.
- Hair samples and submission forms should be CLEARLY identifiable when your contents reach our facility.
- Sending in multiple samples? You may place the 2 contents for each person inside a smaller envelope. Then, place the smaller envelopes for each person inside a larger envelope ready to mail.
Mail Your Sample
While not mandatory, it is highly recommended that you mail your contents to us using tracked mail or courier. We cannot guarantee that postal services do not lose, damage, or misplace your sample if you do not track your sample.
