Manganese
What is Manganese and where it is found?
Manganese is a trace mineral which is naturally found in various foods, such as nuts, seeds, whole grains, leafy vegetables, and tea. It is used also used in masses in industrial applications like steel production, batteries, animal feed, fertilizers, water treatment, pigments and ceramics.
Why do I have an inflammatory reaction to Manganese?
An inflammatory reaction to manganese may result from overexposure, leading to toxicity. This can occur through contaminated water, excessive dietary intake, or industrial exposure.
What can I do about it?
To reduce manganese exposure, avoid contaminated water sources and limit intake of manganese-rich foods if necessary. Use appropriate protective equipment in industrial settings.
