Seprol
What is Seprol?
Seprol is a fungicide used in agriculture to protect crops from a wide range of fungal diseases, including powdery mildew, blights, and rusts. It works by inhibiting fungal growth and reproduction, thus preventing the spread of harmful pathogens that could damage plants.
Why do I have an intolerance?
Seprol contains the active ingredient flutriafol, which can cause skin irritation, eye discomfort, and respiratory issues if inhaled or absorbed through the skin. For individuals with sensitivities to fungicides or chemicals, prolonged exposure can lead to more severe reactions, such as dizziness, headaches, nausea, and in some cases, more serious effects like liver or kidney damage.
What can I do about it?
Wear protective gear such as gloves, goggles, and a mask when handling Seprol. Apply the fungicide in a well-ventilated area, and avoid contact with skin or eyes. If you are sensitive to chemicals, consider organic alternatives like neem oil or sulfur-based fungicides for plant protection.
