How do I treat Candida Krusei?

Candida Krusei can be quite a resistant yeast, as it has been known to be induced by prolonged periods of the Candida Albicans species being overgrown. However, do not despair.

Candida Krusei is also known to be made by the production of chocolate. The best place to start is ensuring all chocolate products are kept to a minimum or eliminated for 6 - 8 weeks. In addition, most candida species are known to overgrow in people who consume diets rich in refined carbohydrates and refined sugars. Therefore, it may also be wise to limit the consumption of these foods. Once this protocol is followed for a period of this time, you can then retest to see if you have managed to get this species of candida back in check. Most of the time, these small adaptions of a diet change can minimize or, if not, completely eradicate the overgrowth.

If you have been retested and Candida Krusei is still showing as overgrown, you may need to speak with a licensed alternative or functional medicine practitioner, experienced in the field of Candida Krusei. There are many different protocols and supplements which can help address the problem effectively.
