Cannabis
What is Cannabis?
Cannabis essential oil is distilled from the Cannabis sativa plant. It’s unique for its herbal aroma and is non-psychoactive, lacking significant levels of THC. This oil is popular in aromatherapy for promoting relaxation, stress relief, and sleep support.
Why do I have an intolerance?
Intolerance to cannabis oil may arise due to its terpene content, which, while beneficial for some, can irritate sensitive skin or trigger respiratory reactions in others. These reactions might include skin itching, redness, or mild respiratory discomfort from inhaling the oil.
What can I do about it?
If you’re intolerant to cannabis oil, you can substitute it with oils known for similar calming effects, like lavender or frankincense. To avoid irritation, consider a lower dilution or avoid inhalation altogether. Non-scented products for relaxation may also serve as good alternatives for sensitive users.
