Clementine

What is Clementines?

Clementines are small, easy-to-peel citrus fruits, often seedless and known for their sweet, juicy segments. They are a hybrid of a mandarin orange and a sweet orange, making them a popular, portable snack.

Why do I have an intolerance to it?

Intolerance to clementines can arise from their high acidity, which may irritate the digestive tract or cause acid reflux. Some individuals may also be sensitive to salicylates, naturally occurring chemicals found in citrus fruits, leading to symptoms like headaches, digestive upset, or skin reactions.

What can I do about it?

To reduce symptoms, try consuming clementines in smaller quantities or avoid them altogether if they cause discomfort. If salicylate sensitivity is the cause, substituting with lower-salicylate fruits like pears or bananas.
