Ercifolia
What is Ercifolia?
Ercifolia essential oil, also known as "Lavender Tea Tree" oil, is derived from the Melaleuca ericifolia plant and combines the calming effects of lavender with the cleansing properties of tea tree oil. This oil has a fresh, herbaceous scent and is often used in aromatherapy for reducing stress, promoting relaxation, and supporting respiratory health. It’s also popular in skincare for its antibacterial and soothing properties.
Why do I have an intolerance?
Intolerance to ercifolia essential oil may arise from its terpinene and cineole content, which, although beneficial, can cause sensitivity in those prone to reactions to tea tree oil. People with sensitive skin or respiratory issues may experience irritation or mild discomfort, especially if the oil is applied undiluted.
What can I do about it?
If you experience sensitivity to ercifolia essential oil, reduce its use or opt for diluting it in a carrier oil. Substitutes like rosemary or eucalyptus oils can offer similar cleansing and respiratory benefits without the potential irritants, allowing you to achieve comparable effects with less chance of irritation.
