Mesurol
What is Mesurol?
Mesurol is a systemic insecticide and fungicide used to control pests such as aphids, caterpillars, and certain fungal diseases. It is commonly applied to crops such as fruit trees, vegetables, and ornamental plants. Mesurol works by disrupting the metabolism of insects and fungi, preventing them from feeding or growing.
Why do I have an intolerance?
Mesurol contains active ingredients that can irritate the skin, eyes, and respiratory system. Exposure to the chemical through inhalation or skin contact can cause symptoms like nausea, dizziness, headaches, skin rashes, and eye irritation. People with sensitivities to insecticides may experience heightened allergic reactions, including asthma or breathing difficulties.
What can I do about it?
To avoid exposure, wear protective gloves, goggles, and a mask when applying Mesurol. Apply the insecticide in a well-ventilated area, and avoid contact with your skin or eyes. If you have sensitivities, consider using non-toxic insect control methods, such as insecticidal soap or diatomaceous earth, which are less likely to cause adverse reactions.
