What is Brown Rice?

  • Brown rice is a whole grain and is usually consumed as a side dish, a rice dish like jambalaya, or soups, stews, and salads. 
  • It is known to contain no Gluten.
  • Brown rice is very dense in fiber and contains ferulic acid, phytic acid, and is generally higher in arsenic than white rice. Those who may have gut or digestive issues, or be sensitive to chemicals, may not tolerate this food well.
