What is Feta cheese?
- Feta cheese is a soft, white-colored cheese traditionally and typically made from the milk of sheep and goats. It can also be made from cow's milk.
- Feta cheese from the milk of sheep and goats contains between 0.03 - 0.13% lactose.
- Feta cheese is known to contain the friendly bacteria, Lactobacillus Plantarum, which accounts for about 48% of its bacteria.
- An intolerance to feta cheese may indicate a gut biome, yeast or fungi imbalance, or an inflamed digestive system.
