What is Parmesan cheese?

  • Parmesan is an Italian hard, granular cheese produced from cow's milk and aged at least 12 months. 
  • Parmesan contains 2.9 - 3.7% lactose and Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus helveticus friendly strains of bacteria. 
  • An intolerance to this item may indicate a gut biome, yeast and fungi imbalance, an inflamed digestive system, or a sensitivity to lactose.
