- Buckwheat is a grain, commonly used in recipes for pancakes, blini, and pasta such as Japanese soba noodles, or in side dishes, soups, and salads.
- Buckwheat is known to not contain Gluten.
- Buckwheat has a high starch content along with tannins, rutin, and fagopyrins.
- An intolerance to this grain may indicate a sensitivity to its contents, or where there is a sensitive or inflamed digestive system.
