What is Cottage Cheese?

  • Cottage cheese is made by acidifying milk, usually cow's milk, which results in the curds separating from the whey. After the curds are formed, they're rinsed and some salt may be added.
  • Cottage cheese can contain between 0.7 - 4% lactose.
  • An intolerance to cottage cheese may indicate, a gut biome, yeast, fungi imbalance, or, too much lactic acid present in the body, or an inflamed digestive system.
