Quark or "quarg" is a type of fresh dairy product made by warming soured milk until the desired amount of curdling is achieved, and then straining it. It can be classified as fresh acid-set cheese. It is usually made from cow's milk; a traditional, creamy, vegetarian, unripened cheese tracing its origin to German-speaking and Eastern European countries.
Quark is found in different dishes including cheesecakes, pastries, salads, or can be bought on its own.
