What is Ricotta cheese?
- Ricotta is an Italian whey cheese made from sheep, cow, goat, or Italian water buffalo milk.
- Ricotta cheese contains 0.3 - 6% lactose depending on which milk has been used. It also contains the strain of bacteria, Bacillus mycoides.
- An intolerance to this item may indicate a gut biome, yeast and fungi imbalance, or an inflamed digestive system.
